Make sure you download the Someone Special Form and have your child invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, or even mom and dad to come join us in the classroom. Conferences
Please make sure you have followed the steps to sign up for conferences. I am still missing a few parents.
Phonics
- /ch/ /tch/ /w/ /wh/
- /ar/ /er/ /ir/ /ur/
- double final consonant before adding -ed and -ing
Grammar
- verbs in the action part of the sentence
ELA
We will continue reading "Lulu and the Brontosaurus."
- ask and answer questions about the story
- retell the story - including key details and information
- understand the central message in the story
- identify difference between books that tell stories and books that give information
Math
- Continue working with the associative and commutative properties of addition
- look at adding using unknow addends
- add and subtract within 20
Science
- make daily observations of our seeds
- document the stages and parts of the plant we identify as we observe each day
Leader in Me
Every day we our thinking about the seven habits and connecting all that we do back to these habits. We are especially working hard on habit 5 - seek to understand, then be understood. Listening and thinking about what someone says, before we respond is a difficult skill for us all students and adults!
