Phonics, Grammar and ELA are a repeat from last week. With our short week, I chose to catch up on some digital stuff.

Phonics

• adding "ed" with no spelling changes. ( smelled, walked, etc.)
• "r" blends  - br, cr, dr, fr, gr, pr, wr

Grammar Skills

• Special titles - Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr. 

ELA

• Continue reading stories from our Families book.
• Read Stelllaluna - demonstrate understanding of the story's central message.

Math

We will continue with the common core standard we started working on last week: Operations and Algebraic thinking.

• Review counting to add and subtract.
• Use addition and subtraction to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart and comparing with unknowns in all positions.
• Practice fact fluency in addition and subtraction.

Science

We will look this week at how plants and animals are like their parents. Students will learn about offspring - both animal and plant.

Leader in Me - Synergize Continued

• Students will listen to a story about synergizing
• Students will realize that working in groups can help us create better ideas.
• See that everyone is good at something and can all contribute when working together.
