What a Week!
It was a long, fun, week. First graders have worked very hard on their Music/Art Show and their hard work paid off. They gave two great performances, one during the day and one at night. They had their artwork displayed and did a great job explaining their favorite piece to family. Here are a few music show highlights I took.
Star Leader
This week's Star leader did not disappoint. She kept us guessing with her Mystery Bag, she read a great story and showed us how cartwheels are really done.
Discovery Education
Students were introduced to a new learning site on their iPad called Discovery Education. We will be using this site to enhance our learning of grammar, math and science. Below some students are listening to a video on shapes.
Math
Some students played a fun but challenging game called Set. Set is a game about attributes. If you are looking for something fun to challenge your child's thinking. I highly recommend this card game.

Cinderella After the Ball take two!
I appreciate everyone's understanding about the field trip last week. This Thursday, our class will be going to the Marriott Lincolnshire to see the Cinderella play. Thank you to Mrs. Varnado and Mrs. Hernandez for being so flexible with their schedules and taking time off from their busy day again to help chaperone our students.
