This Week at Glance

4-18-16 to 4-22-16

Another very full week lies ahead. We will be busy preparing for our Leadership Day and Student Portfolio Night on Thursday. Leadership Day is during the day and is for students only. Portfolio Night is Thursday night from 5:30-7:30. Portfolio Night is an open house format. You  may come with your child at any time during the two hours. It will take students 30-40 minutes to go through all the items on their agenda. Please let me know if you have any questions.

ELA

Grammar

Reading

This week will read two more Cinderella stories. We will read:

• Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters
• Egyptian Cinderella

Students will continue to ask and answer questions, explain major differences between books, and ask and answer questions to clarify the meaning of words in a story.

Math
This week we will. . .

• distinguish between defining attributes and non defining attributes of different shapes.
• build and draw shapes to possess defining attributes.

Science
Students will explore how people use light and sound to send messages.

Leader and Me

This week students will review stories we have read about all the seven habits.

Just a note, our flip flopped schedule will continue Monday and Tuesday this week. We will resume our regular specials schedule times on Wednesday.
