Guided Math Groups

We have been doing guided math groups this week. Students have been rotating around to different math activities. We have been practicing 3 number addends. This week students were introduced to the commutative property of addition. Students used connecting cubes and dominoes to understand the concept. We also played a memory match game to practice this new concept.

Writing and Popplet

This week we have been working on writing our favorite October memory. For this writing, students were introduced to a new app called Popplet. Students used Popplet to organize their ideas into a graphic organizer format. They then used this digital organizer to write their paper.

Verbs
This week we learned about verbs. Students are identifying what a verb is and giving examples of verbs. I only captured one picture today, but students had a great time taking pictures of each other that showed an action. They then uploaded their pictures into a pic collage. Ask your child to see his/her collage.

Tomorrow is Day 1 on our specials schedule.

We have PE and Spanish.
