What a Week, or Two!

It has been a very busy couple of weeks since spring break. Students have been busy learning and preparing for our first ever Leadership Day plus our annual Student Showcase Night.

Leadership Day Assembly and Room Visits
For our Leadership Day Kipling students and staff prepared for over 60 guests that came from our community and school districts near and far. We kicked off the day with an all school assembly. The assembly featured student speakers and our own Kipling Choir.

After the assembly, we had four guests come back to our classroom. Room 5 students were stationed around the room ready to explain to our guests what Leader in Me is all about. They all did a fantastic job!

Student Showcase
Our leadership continued into the night as students continued to show their leadership skills as they guided their parents around our classroom and school. They showed and explained all the great learning that has been going on this year.

Math
We are learning about different shapes and their attributes. We learned a new game called "Last Shape in Wins." We played with partners.

We played another game with some pattern block shapes called "Attribute Train Game."

Blogging
We did a lot of Blogging this week about all the events that took place. If you did not look at your child's Kidblog at Showcase, ask them to take a look at it now.

Star Leaders
In the past two weeks we have had another two great Star Leaders. We love learning about our classmates through pictures and information. We always enjoy guessing the Mystery Bag as well as seeing how talented our classmates are. These two boys were all about the somersaults. We also heard two great stories.

Mystery Readers
We had Mrs. Crane come to be our Mystery Reader. No better way to kick off your birthday weekend, than to have mom come to your class.
